Interestingly, the same company also created the age old locations of Calcutta and Bombay in the Bollywood films Detective Byomkesh Bakshi and Bombay Velvet respectively.

  1. Legend of Tarzan, The Jungle Book and also the Will Smith starring Suicide Squad had their VFX work done in India.

The Indian Scenario –

  1. The VFX quality in India started touching international standards since the release of the first installment of the superhero series, Krrish. However, it touched greater heights, gained international attention and started achieving more of their own intellectual properties and productions since the release of Baahubali in 2015. The stunning visuals in the film were all created in India by Indian animators and VFX artists.
  2. Some other Bollywood films that created some memorable visual experience on screen would be Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan and Zero. His own VFX Company, Red Chillies VFX worked on both the projects.

Salman Khan’s Kick and also Sultan had some fascinating effects. Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 that had special effects by Tata Elxsi also came up with stunning work on screen.

These were just some instances and definitely, there are more. But from these example only it is clear that the VFX industry is touching newer heights in India. As per predictions, the industry is going to cross the size of Rs 131 billion with a steady growth rate of 25% until 2021.
