Try watching films which are critically acclaimed for visual effects. That will add to the weight. Action movies are also a very good choice for that matter of fact.

• Create a demo reel

This is a much-known step to all. Demo Reel is the first impression you create of the work you are capable of on others. It is more like a resume. It is a compilation of your work in the form of videos that showcase your talents. This will give the interviewers in the production studio an idea of how talented you are and of your skills as an artist. Making a reel takes good time and patience. Find the best of your works and compile them in a short video. The reel shouldn’t be more than 5-6 minutes and do not make it too short like 2 minutes too. Keep quality content and keep it versatile. • Keep looking for inspiration

A visual effects artist must always strive to create better content. It is very important for one to search for inspiration from others’ work and through films and various tutorials. Observe the after and before visual effects of superhero films, fantasy films, sci-fi, drama and any other genre which dictates good content for your visual effects learning. • Know your specialization
